Name of Artist: Mbumba
Genres: Afro house, soul, afro jazz and funk
In a country where musicians are barely given credit, it’s impressive and exciting to see women rise through all the challenges. I’ve never really been a fan of jazz or soul music but listening to one of Mbumba’s songs changed that.
Music is supposed to captivate and move you, and her voice just does that, I felt the emotions running through the lyrics. Would I recommend her music to my friends? YES! In fact, I’m patiently waiting for her Album SANU NAYI to drop.
I look at this project as a puzzle. So many questions have been raised concerning the title of the album as well as the content within… all I can say is I’m more than excited to share with everyone where it’s coming from. It’ll be a great time to simply enjoy good music, and associate with everyone.
The party will comprise of a live intimate performance and will indulge in an open conversation with the audience, insight on the inspiration of the album and clarity on what every song entails.
Signed (autographed) CDs will be on sale at the venue. But the event is free of charge. A photo as well; you wouldn’t want to miss this.
